Create A Song Journal

1. Begin by writing down some of your favorite songs.
Underline the title of your song. and then, underneath the title write down some things about the song:
Why do you like it? Does it make you feel good? Does it make you laugh? Does it go very fast?
If you don't have a comment then leave the space blank and maybe you will think of something later.
2. Ask family members and friends what their favorite songs are.
The more you ask, the more you will learn. Record each title and leave space for comments.
What styles of music did they like? How old are the people you asked? What did you think of Mom or Dad's favorite songs? What did you think of Grandma's favorite songs?
If you have any younger brothers and sisters, make you sure ask them too.
3. Start a new section of your journal at the very back..
Begin by writing down all the lyrics you can remember of your favorite song. Add more songs that you like.

More with Water Glasses
Be scientific. Fill the first glass with just an eighth of a cup. In each glass add one eighth more water than the last glass. Are you getting anywhere near: do, re, mi, fa, so, la, ti, do?
Which glasses have the highest pitch? The ones with more water or less?
What do vibrations have to do with it? Can you look this up online?
